A super vintage cantilever chair in the S33 style, which was a design widely produced by the British manufacturer PEL (Practical Equipment Ltd). PEL was a leading British manufacturer of modernist tubular steel furniture, established in 1931 in Oldbury, near Birmingham. The company sought to emulate the success of European manufacturers like Thonet who produced prominent Bauhaus era designs. The seat & back are in the original red rexine, & the tubular steel is in good condition.
