A midcentury sideboard by British Remploy. Remploy was a UK-based manufacturer known for utilitarian furniture in the 1950s. The sideboard has an Afromosia teak veneered top & sides, with solid Afromosia legs. The two sliding doors are crafted from "book-matched ripple Ash," providing a distinctive wood grain pattern. The sideboard design is sleek with a minimalist profile. The four drawers & two sliding cupboard have inset solid teak handles. The cupboards both have internal shelves. A nice piece of furniture for a contemporary or period setting in good condition.
