This midcentury piece is a versatile "Cumbrae" console table or writing desk, designed by Neil Morris for the Scottish manufacturer Morris of Glasgow during the 1950s. It is constructed from rich, strikingly grained Australian walnut with lighter sycamore detailing along the edges & drawer runners. The table features the brand's iconic, sleek blade-shaped splayed legs & contains three smoothly running drawers. The top is a wipeable laminate in white with gold speckles. The console is in good vintage condition.
