A fabulous midcentury Ladderax system circa 1960s. The Ladderax modular shelving system, a hallmark of British Mid-Century Modern design was designed in 1964 by Robert Heal & manufactured by Staples of Cricklewood, London. The system is celebrated for its versatility & minimalist aesthetic influenced by the Danish school of design. The three bay system consists of four black steel upright ladders supporting seven shelves, a bureau & two double cupboards. The teak is in good condition & is a rich brown colour. The ladderax is self supporting & stands freely against a wall.
