A midcentury G Plan Astro "Long John" nest of tables designed by Victor Wilkins for E. Gomme Ltd from the Fresco collection. Unlike a traditional nested tower, the "Long John" design utilises a long, low rectangular coffee table as the master unit with two smaller, identical square tables side-by-side underneath. The set features architectural, organic U-shaped leg supports that sweep up to meet the frame. The tabletops are constructed from highly figured teak with edges afromosia edges. The set is in good vintage condition.
