A stunning shell chandelier originally designed by Verner Panton in 1964 for Lüber, Switzerland. The beautiful cascading discs of natural mother-of-pearl / Capiz shells are hung on small metal rings from a tiered frame. The shells gently move & chime in light air breeze while creating a soft, shimmering glow. When illuminated, the light filters through the semi-translucent mother-of-pearl (Capiz) shells. This eliminates all harsh glare, transforming the direct bulb light into a warm, soft & fractured ambient glow. The effect is very beautiful. Four in stock.
