A super midcentury teak cabinet/bookcase with sliding doors made by the British manufacturer Herbert E. Gibbs who was a skilled cabinet maker & carpentry instructor before establishing his own manufacturing firm in the 1920s. The stylish cabinet bookcase used influence from Scandinavia focusing on clean, minimalistic design for modern 60s homes. The teak cabinet is a beautiful colour with an attractive grain, shallow in depth with inset, recessed wooden handles sculpted directly into the sliding doors, maintaining a completely flush, handleless look. The bookcase is in beautiful condition.
