A fabulous antique late 19th century French pine ice box featuring turned legs & a galvanised zinc lining. The pine 'fridge' is completely internally insulated with zinc which acts like a drinks cooler, having a middle container which can be filled with ice. This can be lifted out with two side holders, having a pine lid to seal with a cast iron handle. The two front doors have a round handle & catch in brass to hide internal cooling cupboards, one full height, the other with shelving. A stunning piece in a rich brown pine for either a kitchen or outside covered entertaining space.
