An original antique British fire bucket, likely dating from the early-to-mid 20th century. The bucket was historically used as fire safety equipment, specifically intended to be filled with water to smother electrical or oil fires. The bucket is made of riveted steel & painted in a traditional "railway red". The bucket is marked with "FIRE" and "WATER" and features a royal cypher. The bucket has a lid with no holes. Some fading & age related petina is evident. See photos.
