A fabulous 'Art Metal' 1940s desk, a classic example of late 1930s to 1940s British utility & military office design. The desk is made from heavy-gauge pressed sheet steel designed to be completely indestructible & flameproof. The dark green top is made of furniture linoleum, a warm & slightly soft writing surface. The desk features two front drawers with 'Art Metal' branding in brass. The desk is in great vintage condition with a perfect linoleum top.
