A superb vintage 1930s Bauhaus German desk lamp designed by Christian Dell, model 6556 manufactured by Kaiser Leuchten. Christian Dell was born in 1893 in Offenbach, Germany & served as master of the metal workshop at the Bauhaus in Weimar; he is credited with playing a formative role in shaping the Bauhaus’s metalworking curriculum. The Bauhaus desk lamp is in black with some vintage wear, has an interesting shape, is electrically tested with new black twisted cord. A super piece of German history.
